We are reaching out to the generous members of our community, as well as businesses, to humbly request your support for the DFW Fire and Rescue group. Our dedicated volunteers have been tirelessly protecting the residents and properties of the Drakenstein Municipal communities, particularly in Paarl and Wellington.

The selfless commitment of our volunteers, who fearlessly serve despite the challenges posed by natural disasters, medical emergencies, and humanitarian aid, cannot be overstated. However, as a private firefighting service, we rely on private funding to sustain our operations and provide the best possible service to the community.

We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering dedication and bravery exhibited by our volunteer firefighters throughout the last 6 years. They have demonstrated unmatched professionalism in battling massive field and forest fires, structural fires, and other incidents with an unwavering sense of duty.

Firefighters, especially private or volunteer firefighters, are the backbone of a city’s safety infrastructure. They put themselves in harm’s way to protect residents, their homes, and their livelihoods. Their crucial work extends beyond extinguishing flames – it safeguards the very fabric of our community.

As we approach the upcoming fire season, we are concerned about the strain it will place on our resources. Arson attempts, negligence in fire safety, and the abundance of burning materials due to plant growth after a wet winter season all pose significant challenges. Your generous contributions will help us enhance our firefighting response and suppression capabilities to keep our community safe.
